ADVICE TO WRESTLERS IN THE OFF-SEASON...

From former Whitman-Hanson head coach Bob Gay, who was inducted in to the Massachusetts Interscholastic Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame
- Lift on a regular schedule because stronger wrestlers defeat weaker wrestlers.
- Improve your skills by wrestling in the off-season at clubs, camps, and tournaments.
- Stay in shape by running because quicker wrestlers defeat slower wrestlers.
- Finally and most importantly, be good and decent human beings - avoid alcohol, drugs, tobacco, etc. because good will triumph over evil!
Check out our very own Mark Chauppetta in A Father's Fight

Mark Chauppetta '87 is one of our current youth wrestling coaches. In this film at 40 years old Mark fights a kid half his age in the MMA cage to raise awareness for his twin sons who have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Along the way UFC stars Forrest Griffin, Bas Rutten, Joe Lauzon and Tito Ortiz make cameo appearances. Former WH Wrestling coach Bob Gay also makes an appearance in this film. Check out a great article that Sam Sheridan wrote in the March 2010 issue of FIGHT! Magazine about the movie and consider ordering a copy of the movie on Amazon. All proceeds go to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
