2014-15 Coaching Staff
Head Coach: Kevin Broderick
Coach Broderick joined Whitman-Hanson in the 2012-13 season after leading Scituate to a league championship in his first season as head coach there in 2011-12. Earlier in his coaching career, he was an assistant coach to Massachusetts hall of fame wrestling coach Bob Gay at Whitman-Hanson for 3 very successful seasons in the early 90's. He had a hiatus from coaching to pursue a medical degree and currently serves as a family practice/sports medicine physician at Compass Medical in East Bridgewater. As a wrestler, Coach Broderick was co-captain of the 1987-88 team with Brian Wright, leading the team to it’s first ever Division II South Sectional championship. He was also a Division II State Champion at 145 pounds in 1988 and a two time Division II South Sectional Champion.

Assistant Coach: Brian Wright
After spear heading the Whitman-Hanson Youth Wrestling program for the 6 years Brian was tapped by Coach Broderick to make the move up to the high school coaching level in the 2012-13 season. Wright was ecstatic to join Coach Broderick who is both a long time friend and former co-captain from 1987-88 season where they lead the team to it's first ever Division II South Sectional championship. Wright wrestled under the direction of former coaches Ron Brown and Bob Gay and is determined to continue the long traditions and winning ways of the Whitman-Hanson Wrestling program. As a sophomore, Brian was a Division II South Sectional Champion at 100 pounds in 1986.

Assistant Coach: GARY "RABBI" RABINOVITZ
Gary was a member of the first ever Whitman-Hanson wrestling team that began competing in 1977-78. Gary was undefeated in dual meets in his only two seasons wrestling for WH. Coach Rabbi went on to have a successful wrestling four year career at Plymouth State University where he wrestled at 118lbs. After graduation Gary wrestled for the US Army team from 1985-88 and in 1988 finished 3rd in the Greco-Roman US National tournament, qualifying him for the 1988 Final Olympic Trials. After competition ended, Gary coach at Whitman-Hanson RHS for one year and Franklin High School for two years before moving on to coach at both Bridgewater State University and American International College. Gary was inducted into the Whitman-Hanson Hall of Fame in 1991.

Assistant Coach: Mark Snyder
Coach Snyder was a four year wrestler at W-H graduating in 1987. His wrestling career continued at the club level at Curry College until the program dissolved in 1990. Several years later he returned to the sport as an MIAA referee. After 3 seasons as a referee, coach Snyder had to step away from the sport again due to time restrictions. He returned to the W-H program when he learned his old teammates (coaches Wright & Broderick) would be taking over the program. Mark Snyder has owned and operated Snyder Jewelers in South Weymouth since 1992.
